2020
The Clinic became the first regional Center of Excellence to implement gene therapy for hereditary retinal dystrophies.
2019
The University Eye Clinic University Hospital "Sveti Duh" was awarded the medal "Diploma of the Croatian Medical Association".
2019
The President of the Republic of Croatia presented the Charter of the Republic of Croatia to the University Eye Clinic of the University Hospital "Sveti Duh".

The clinic becomes a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization for Pediatric Ophthalmology.
2017
For its publishing activities, the University Eye Clinic of the University Hospital "Sveti Duh" was awarded the Andrija Štampar Award.
2017
The National Register of Early Detection of Visual Impairment, the first and only one in the world, has been established.
2016
The research team of the project, led by prof. Mladen Bušić, MD, PhD and prof. Mirjana Bjeloš, MD, PhD was awarded with the City of Zagreb Award.

Mandatory screening grows into the National Preventive Program for Early Detection of Visual Impairment.
2015
The European Society of Ophthalmologists (SOE) declares the Eye Disease Clinic the Center of Excellence of the European Society of Ophthalmologists.
2015
The postgraduate specialist study "Ophthalmology and Optometry" of the Medical Faculty of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek was established.
2015
The project grows into a mandatory national screening for amblyopia, and the Clinic receives the status of the Reference Center of the Ministry of Health for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
2011
The scientific project "Amblyopia in four-year-old children of the City of Zagreb" was launched.
It is the world's largest project of this nature in pediatric ophthalmology.
2010
The Department of Ophthalmology of the University Hospital "Sveti Duh" becomes University Eye Clinic of the University Hospital "Sveti Duh".
